Spencer um 1811...

...oder, ist es schon wieder Winter?

Nein natürlich nicht, zum Glück! Aber endlich bin ich fertig mit meinem Projekt, an dem ich seit Januar sitze! Es hat mich ein paar Nerven gekostet, vor allem damit den Kunstpelz zu zuschneiden, dass konnte ich nämlich nur im Freien und der richtigen Windrichtung tun, denn die feinen Härchen haften wirklich überall und am Ende sieht man aus wie ein Kuscheltier!

Kurzum, ich bin recht zufrieden mit meinem Ergebnis ein Modekupfer nachzuarbeiten, dabei war ich mir zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr sicher, ob ich noch auf dem richtigen Weg war. Eins muss ich dennoch anmerken, ich bin kein Meister im Knopflochsticken! Wenn einer eine grandiose Idee hat, wie man die gleichmäßig hinbekommt so wäre ich wirklich für Tipps dankbar.

Aktueller Zwischenstand zum Spencer um 1811

Da dies mein letzter Urlaubstag ist, kann ich doch Rückblickend sagen, das ich diese Woche viel geschafft habe! Unter anderem habe ich das Futter für den Spencer fertig gestellt und eingenäht, die Ärmel ausgefüttert und eingenäht und den Pelzkragen mit Rosshaareinlage pikiert, gefüttert und eingenäht.

Im Spencer-Fieber

Als ich neulich mal wieder den Ausstellungskatalog ‚Luise, die Kleider der Königin’ durchstöberte. Viel mir auf Seite 93 das linke Modekupfer ins Auge.

Da ich leider nicht an solch annähernden Stoff herankomme habe ich mich für einen Wollflausch in cayenne-rot von naturstoff.de entschieden. Der hat zwar keine Körperbindung, hält aber trotzdem schön warm und mein schon vorhandener Webpelz passt super dazu.
