Sonntagsausflug und Erdbeerlikör...

Heute möchte ich mal von ein paar anderen Dingen berichten, und eine kleine Pause vom Nähen und den zerstochenen Fingern machen.

Mein heutiger Sonntagsausflug führte mich in den schönen Barockgarten von Großharthau.

Schon Kaiser Napoleon wusste um die Einzigartigkeit der Gegend und residierte 1813 im Schloss von Großharthau. Der wunderschön angelegte Barockgarten mit der angrenzenden, historischen Reitscheune und dem einzigartigen Gondelteich lädt zum Flanieren und Staunen ein.

Dieses Wochenende ist zum 5. Mal die Ausstellung "LebensArt - Erlesenes & Schönes für Haus undGarten" zu Gast im Schlosspark.

Shown are the latest trends in the areas of home and garden and lifestyle. The repertoire of exhibits ranging from antiques, table & home accessories to furniture and garden decorations, plants, delicacies, jewelery, fashion and much more.

 

Bei schönen Wetter und mäßigen Temperaturen waren allerhand Leute unterwegs, und an einigen Ständen kam der „Durchgangsverkehr“ ganz zum erliegen, was die eigenen Nerven schon auf eine harte Probe stellt! Aber es fasziniert mich immer wieder, wie viel Ideen und Anregungen man aus dieser Ausstellung mit nach Hause nimmt. Auch eine neue Rose für den Garten hat es mit in mein Auto geschafft. Geleistet habe ich mir ein englische Rose namens „Lordly Oberon“, diese blüht rosa und ist wunderbar gefüllt und ich freu mich schon jetzt auf die ersten Blüten und den herrlichen Duft!

Und dieses Jahr habe ich auch ein tolles Rezept für euch in Petto, Erdbeerlikör!

Dazu braucht man:

• 1 kg gut gewaschene Erdbeeren
• 3 Zimtstangen
• 1 Vanilleschote
• 250g weißen Kandis
• 200ml Erdbeersirup
• 3 Flaschen Korn

Als erstes ergibt sich die Frage, hat man ein ausreichend großes Gefäß, wo alle Zutaten reinpassen? Ansonsten bieten sich auch Einweckgläser an, unter denen man die Zutaten gerecht aufteilen kann! Ich habe mich hier für leere Einweckgläser entschieden und für die Menge 5 benötigt.

Als nächstes schneidet man die Erdbeeren schön klein und verteilt sie auf die Gefäße (oder eben alles in eins). Zimtstangen, Vanilleschote (halbiert und zerkleinert) und den Kandis zugeben. Danach den Erdbeersirup zugeben, nun alles mit den Korn aufgießen und zum Schluss die Gläser gut verschlissen. Dieser Ansatz muss nun 6 Wochen ziehen, danach kann man den Likör in schicke Flaschen abfüllen.

Als ich zu Himmelfahrt die Ff Ausstellung in Berlin besuchte, viel mir unter anderem etwas ganz spezielles ins Auge. Zwei kleine Beutel aus Perlen gefertigt, die ungefähr in die Zeit von 1810 bis 1850 eingeordnet sind, diese kann man auch im Buch auf Seite 169 bewundern. Zwei wunderbaren Meisterwerke, zeugen von der großen Handwerkskunst der damaligen Zeit.

Mir wurde gerade bewusst, warum ich so fasziniert von diesen zwei Perlenbeuteln war. Befand sich nicht genau so ein ähnliches schon lange in unserem Familienbesitz? Schnell begab ich mich auf die Suche und wurde fündig. Ein kleines perlengefertigtes Beutelchen, genutzt um Münzen darin aufzubewahren. Es ist ungefähr 9 cm lang und der obere Umfang ist ca. 19cm. Bei genauerer Betrachtung fällt auf, dass schon einige Perlen herausgebrochen sind, außerdem fehlt der obere Randabschluss, der an einer Stelle schon beschädigt ist, so dass dort einige Perlen fehlen. Aber im großen und ganzen ist es wirklich gut erhalten.

Ich habe noch ein wenig nachgeforscht, damit ich mir wirklich sicher sein kann, dass es auch aus dieser Zeit stammt, und damit ich hier nicht falsche Tatsachen beschreibe, aber der Zeitrahmen dürfe wohl stimmen! Ich bin ganz begeistert!

Ich weiß noch, das ich es als Kind immer bei meiner Oma bewundert habe, aber jetzt weiß ich es noch mehr zu schätzen! Es hat einen neuen Platz in meiner Vitrine bekommen, wo man es schön betrachten kann!

5. Barockfest zu Dresden

Wie jedes Jahr, so scheint mir, gibt es schlechtes Wetter, wenn das Barockfest in Dresden ansteht. So kündigte sich der Freitag mit sehr kaltem und nassen Wetter an, und ich hoffte inständig, dass wenigstens der Samstag, an dem meine Freundin und ich gedachten das Fest zu besuchen, trocken bleiben würde.

Damit hatten wir Glück, wie sich heut herausstellte. Ja das Thermometer hatte es sogar auf heitere 14°C geschafft, nur der Wind machte es mir heute so gut wie unmöglich eine Bergère zu tragen. Der dazugehörige Handwerksmarkt war zwar schön, aber nicht zeitgemäß, er orientierte sich mehr an einem Mittelaltermarkt mit Bogenschießen und Co.

Zu unserer Freude gab es ein Wiedersehen mit Daniela Pantke , die wieder viel ihres wunderbaren Schmuckes feil geboten hat. Als wir sie das letzte Mal vor zwei Jahren sahen, war sie gerade schwanger, und nun konnten wir ihre süße kleine Tochter kennen lernen, die ihre Eltern ganz schön auf trapp hielt.

Ansonsten gibt es nur zu sagen, das der Eintritt für die „normalen“ Leute mit 5€ viel zu hoch war, die meisten schauten nur durch die Tore und gingen dann wieder, was den Händlern auf dem Markt sicher auch nur geringe Einnahmen brachte.

Es fehlte an einem gut organisiertem Programm, es war nicht für alle ersichtlich, wann was stattfindet. Des weiteren hatten wir wiedereinmal mehr das Gefühl nur eine Showattraktion für die vielen Touristen zu sein, was meine Teilnahme im nächsten Jahr sehr unwahrscheinlich machen wird. Aber es gibt ja immer welche, die gern im Mittelpunkt stehen möchten, und für die diese Veranstaltung genau das richtige ist.

Hemdkleid 1795 - 1800 - Teil 1

Da nun alle Vorbereitungen für die anstehenden Veranstaltungen fertig sind, und die erste Veranstaltung auch schon vorüber ist, steht mir nun eine Zeit der kreativen Freiheit zur Verfügung! Herrlich!

Da trifft es sich doch gut, dass mir schon lange das Hemdkleid aus dem Buch „Costume in Detail“ auf der Seite 81 und 82 ins Auge sticht! So möchte ich mich nun mal dran wagen, man kann fast sagen im freestyle auszuführen. Wie einige vielleicht wissen habe ich mir das nähen selbst beigebracht, die ersten Versuche habe ich immerhin schon mit 8 an der Nähmaschine ausprobiert. Eigentlich komm ich aus der Medizin, demzufolge habe ich nicht die geringste Ahnung vom Schnittmusterbau. Und so versuche ich einfach mir ein zwei Dinge von anderen Schnittmustern zu mopsen es anzupassen und daraus ein Kleid zu fertigen! Ich bin jetzt schon gespannt wies läuft! ;)

Einen guten Blick lohnt sich natürlich auch in das Buch „the art of dress“, dort ist auf Seite 169 das Kleid als Original abgebildet, zwar nur von hinten, aber so bekommt man gleich ein anderes Gefühl für das Stück!

Da in meinem Schrank noch ein wunderbarer Schurwollmousselin schlummert, habe ich den schnell ausgegraben, ich finde wie geschaffen für ein Kleid dieser Zeit! Da ich ein solches Muster eh nicht bekomme, wie auf dem Kleid abgebildet, wird mein Kleid also einfarbig in einem schönen natürlichen Cremeton.

So verbrachte ich den Pfingstmontag im freien, mit Nadel und Faden und habe als erstes die Ärmel gefertigt. Im Buch Dress in Detail haben die Ärmel noch einen Aufschlag, der mir nicht wirklich gefällt, und so von mir radikal reduziert wurde.

2. Luisenball in Schloss Paretz

Am 19.Mai fand nun zum zweiten Mal ein historischer Ball zur Erinnerung an Königin Luise von Preußen statt. Die lange Vorbereitungszeit hatte also nun ein Ende, ich hatte mein Ballkleid fertig und war gespannt darauf es ausführen zu können, hatte ich doch ein Jahr gebraucht um den bestickten Rocksaum fertig zu bekommen.

Am schlimmsten ist immer die doch lange Autofahrt von zweieinhalb Stunden, vor allem da es wirklich warm geworden war und das gute Auto keine Klima besitzt. Aber wir lenkten uns mit guten Soundtracks von diversen Filmen ab um uns schon ein wenig einzustimmen, und langsam begann sich auch die Landschaft zu verändern, es wurde zunehmend flacher und sandiger und unsere Vorfreude wuchs ungemein den kleinen Ort Paretz mit dem bezaubernden Schloss wieder zu sehen.

Etwas zu knapp erreichten wir unser Ziel, noch schnell die ausgesuchte Pension beziehen und dann zum Workshop. Das war unser Plan. Aber die Pension wurde von einem gut gelaunten Rentnerehepaar geführt und die hatten am Anfang natürlich ne Menge zu erzählen, langsam rannte uns die Zeit weg. Und in sage und schreibe 20 Minuten huschten wir in unsere mitgebrachten Tageskleider, wobei man immer nervöser wurde, wenn die Korsettschnur nicht durch die Korsettösen wollte.

Schade, denn wir hatten uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen mit einem bekannten Geschwisterpaar gefreut, das diesmal leider nicht anwesend war.

Nach zwei Stunden Workshop, hieß es dann fertig machen für den Ball, wir hatten noch zwei Stunden Zeit bis es los ging. Noch schnell die Frisur verbessert und etwas von der aufgeheizten Scheune erholen, etwas Essen fassen und natürlich sich ins Ballkleid schwingen.

Mit Sektempfang und einer Fächerpolonäse ging’s dann 19:00 Uhr im Saal am Schloss los. Im Vergleich zum letzten Mal war es bedeutend wärmer und man kam schon nach den ersten Tänzen ins schwitzen, aber diesmal wurde ausreichend Getränke angeboten, so dass man nach einer kleinen Pause im Freien wieder durchstarten konnte.

Am Anfang des Tages hatten wir das Gefühl, die Tänze ganz verlernt zu haben, immerhin waren fast zwei Jahre vergangen. Aber beim Ball konnten wir dann doch noch auf das „wir haben es schon einmal gemacht“ zurückgreifen. Es wurden wieder Tänze wie Two and Two, the comical fellow und My Lord Byron’s Maggot von einem Pianisten gespielt. Ich hatte meinen neuen Schuhe von American Duches an, leider war die Ledersole ziemlich glatt, so dass ich einmal fast gestürzt wäre, was mich doch ein wenig beim Tanzen behinderte. Wie schon beim letzten Ball war dann leider aber 22:00 Uhr Schluss. Alle verließen den Saal, wo es doch zu Beginn hieß, dass man den Abend gemütlich miteinander ausklingen lassen kann um neue Kontakte zu knüpfen.

Nichts desto trotz haben wir ein paar nette Bekanntschaften gemacht. Zwei sehr nette Mädels aus Hamburg. Und so verließen dann auch wir den Saal.

Am nächsten Tag machten wir noch eine Schlossbesichtigung. Das Paretzer Schloss ist ja sehr berühmt für seine wunderschönen Tapeten. In der Schlossremise, einem angrenzenden Gebäude, wird die Ausstellung "Kutschen, Schlitten und Sänften aus dem preußischen Königshaus" gezeigt. Anschließend machten wir uns wieder auf dem Heimweg.

Fazit: leider haben manch Anwesende sehr die Kleidung zum Thema verfehlt (was bitte soll ein Krinolinenkleid im Jahre 1810????) Einige haben sich Mühe gegeben, aber eine würdige Reenactment-Veranstaltung ist dies natürlich nicht. Trotzdem war es wieder schön, sich in den Tänzen aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert zu proben. Viel zu selten sind solch diverse Veranstaltungen und erst recht in unserer Nähe!!

Ausstellung Fashioning fashion - Europäische Moden 1700 - 1915

„Mit Fashioning fashion – Europäische Moden 1700 – 1915 zeigt das Deutsche Historische Museum exklusiv in Deutschland eine einzigartige Sammlung historischer Kleider des Los Angeles County Museum of Art.“

Diese Ausstellung konnte ich mir einfach nicht entgehen lassen, zumal es wie durch ein Wunder genau mit meinem geplanten Aufenthalt in Berlin bei einer guten Freundin zusammenfiel!

Mein Tag des Besuches der Ausstellung war der 17.5.12, was war ich gespannt!! Und ich wurde wirklich nicht enttäuscht. Die Ausstellungsräume liegen im Kellergeschoss, schön abgeschottet von jeglichem Lichteinfall und auch in den Ausstellungsräumen herrschte etwas diffuses Licht, aber dennoch konnte man gute Einzelheiten an den ausgestellten Kleidungsstücken begutachten. Fotos waren leider nicht erlaubt, vielleicht eine gute Verkaufsstrategie für den Ausstellungskatalog, aber letztendlich hat man dort alles drin, was man auch während des Besuches gesehen hat.

Den Rundgang begleitete eine kleine Broschüre, die man am Eingang erheilt, wo kurze Informationen über Jahr, Stoff, und Geschichte zu jedem Kleidungsstück erläutert wurde, dort konnte ich  mir noch einige Notizen zu manchen Kleidungsstücken einfügen.

Begeistert und beeindruckt haben mich vor allem die feinen Paspelarbeiten, die wunderbaren Korsetts und Schnürbrüste und natürlich die Stickereien auf den Kleidungsstücken, welche so fein und sorgfältig ausgeführt wurden, dass ich mich wirklich gefragt habe in welcher Zeit so etwas fertig gestellt wurde!

Jeden der die Möglichkeit hat diese Ausstellung zu besuchen, sei sie wärmstens empfohlen!

Nein natürlich nicht, zum Glück! Aber endlich bin ich fertig mit meinem Projekt, an dem ich seit Januar sitze! Es hat mich ein paar Nerven gekostet, vor allem damit den Kunstpelz zu zuschneiden, dass konnte ich nämlich nur im Freien und der richtigen Windrichtung tun, denn die feinen Härchen haften wirklich überall und am Ende sieht man aus wie ein Kuscheltier!

Kurzum, ich bin recht zufrieden mit meinem Ergebnis ein Modekupfer nachzuarbeiten, dabei war ich mir zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr sicher, ob ich noch auf dem richtigen Weg war. Eins muss ich dennoch anmerken, ich bin kein Meister im Knopflochsticken! Wenn einer eine grandiose Idee hat, wie man die gleichmäßig hinbekommt so wäre ich wirklich für Tipps dankbar.

No of course not, thankfully! But finally I'm done with my project where I'm sitting since January! It took me a few nerves, especially to cut the faux fur that I could do and that is just outside the right wind direction, because the hairs stick anywhere and in the end it looks like a cuddly toy!
In short, I am quite happy with my result, a reworked fashion plates, while in the meantime I was not sure if I was still on the right track. One must note, I still, I'm not a master in his buttonhole embroidery! If one has a great idea, how to get the riff smoothly so I would be really grateful for advice.
